ABOUT COMMERCIAL SPONSORS
There are many ways to attain and work with Commercial Sponsors in your
career as a speaker author and consultant. All of them are lucrative, and
will bring added publicity to you and your products.  Some commercial
sponsors want to sponsor your seminars. Many will have you send them press releases after you speak to send to their media contacts as a news item about you being their Company Spokesperson and the great benefits your message is bringing a certain group (Examples: Youth, Teachers, The Elderly and other specific groups) in their name. Other sponsors may want to include a sheet of information in your Educational Materials package which you presell to your speaking clients. Another way to have commercial sponsors is to self-publish a small run of books from that manuscript you have completed.  There are many printing on demand companies who will print a small quantity of your book at a very low price. You can order 50 or 100 which will help you approach companies who will want to use your product as a Premium. They will order the number they need from looking at the sample. An example would be a bank who
would be interested in giving give your book with as a gift with each new
bank account opened.  They include a picture of your book in all of the
Bank's ads.  There are many more examples and different types of corporations that are interested in sponsoring speaker's programs and products.

CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MORE PAID BOOKINGS
It makes me sad when speakers tell me they have spoken for years—but always for FREE or at Low fees. I think they believe that if they do enough free or low paid programs someone will offer them real money. Here is the truth, there are some organizations who never-ever pay for speakers and other who always pay low fees. You must start approaching the ones who DO pay for speakers in order to turn your speaking career into a high paying proposition.

To begin, there are at least 50 locations in every community who would love to have you work with them on a "Share the Gate Fundraiser." They sell the tickets to your program, they pay all of the expenses, and you divide income derived. Once you have one of these worked out, find the addresses of all the similar organizations in your State or Province!
